(KS75) Clinical Psychologist

We are pleased to be working with a private specialist eating disorder service based in the Worcestershire who are currently offering a 'Clinical Psychologist' role.
You will lead the Psychology Team at this private Hospital, being responsible for assessment and interventions through formulating treatment plans and employing therapy across the care setting. You will also provide clinical supervision to members of the psychology team.
The hospital has been specifically designed with the adolescent and young adult in mind. The interior design of the hospital is both contemporary and comfortable incorporating young people’s art.

You’ll enjoy support from a regional network of psychologists, as you work alongside the multidisciplinary team to contribute to the delivery of the service, offering assessment, formulation and treatment to young people with Bulimia Nervosa, Anorexia Nervosa and Avoidant Restive Food Intake Disorder.

Working alongside a specialist multidisciplinary team within a CAMHS eating disorder service, you will provide clinical psychology care to children and young people and conduct clinical related research, development and clinical audits to support their recovery. 

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will deliver and offer contributions to the development of the specialist treatment pathway, which will see you create working relationships with local community teams, paediatric and other inpatient psychiatric wards.

Job Description:
  • To provide a highly specialist brief, medium or long-term psychotherapy for children and young people with severe, complex and persistent mental health conditions and eating disorders
  • To provide in-depth risk-assessments of young people who are at risk to themselves and to be able to formulate more short-term crisis planning
  • To contribute to the process of care planning for young people referred to this private hospital, and to manage a complex caseload as the individual therapist working within a multidisciplinary team
  • To monitor clinical progress through regular reviews of psychotherapy treatment
  • To be able to engage and work with children and young people with a range of learning and developmental difficulties, while drawing upon a range of theoretical and practical knowledge acquired over a significant period of time.
Requirements:
  • Successfully completion of a Doctorate in either Clinical or Forensic Psychology or the British Psychological Society’s stage 2 training in Forensic Psychology, enabling registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist and Charterable status with the British Psychological Society
  • Experience using CBT skills to address a range of clinical and/or forensic issues
