(KS65) Social Worker - CAMHS

Hertfordshire | £32,000.00 - 35,000.00 Per Annum (+ Benefits )

We are delighted to be working with a private hospital based in Hertfordshire who are currently offering a 'Social Worker' position.
You will be working within the multidisciplinary team at a private hospital to provide care to men and women with mental health conditions in a modern and purpose-built hospital with low and medium secure environments.

You will work 37.5 hours a week alongside a multidisciplinary team at this private hospital, a specialist CAMHS Eating Disorder service with 3 wards, which empowers recovery in a fast-paced, challenging and fun environment for children and young people aged 8-18 years with eating disorders.

As a Social Worker, you will manage a dedicated caseload with complex care needs and or psychological conditions, which will see you provide social care assessments, implement focused care work on agreed care plans, facilitate group sessions in collaboration with other disciplines and assisting in the assessment of aftercare placements.

You will contribute to the MDT care planning process and provide assessment reports to support the completion of young people's CPA documents, which will see you liaise with Children's Services Departments to ensure that reports and attendance by a representative are available for Mental Health Review Tribunals. Where necessary, you'll be required to prepare reports and attend hearings.

Responsibilities
  • To ensure an accurate holistic and up to date, social history is available for each young person, which offers formulations and recommendations
  • Coordinate and process Section 117 Mental Health Act 83 aftercare plans with the relevant community agencies
  • To assist with safeguarding referrals and the subsequent liaison with the Local Authority safeguarding team and LADO


Requirements:
  • Meet the standards set out in the Social Work England Professional Standards
  • Have knowledge of social policy, legislation and expertise in social work practice to bear upon the needs of young people
  • Be a Registered Social Worker to Social Work England
  • Experience working in CAMHS or a similar setting with in mental health service, or in a role with transferrable skills and a clear passion to learn and develop
