(KS60) Eating Disorders Dietitian (FTC)

We are delighted to be working with a private hospital based in the Hertfordshire who currently are offering a Eating Disorders Dietitian position.

This post is a unique opportunity for a band 5 or 6 Dietitian from any clinical speciality to gain valuable experience in the growing field of the Eating Disorders. This private hospital is a Tier 4 CAMHS Eating Disorders Hospital, and with an established team of specialists Dietitians and Dietetic Assistants, you will fit right into the culture of being supported to grow professionally while caring for the young people.

In this role you will have your own named caseload of Eating Disorders inpatients onsite, and you will be liaising and working with other MDT professionals, community teams, and parents as appropriate. This is a full-time job at 37.5 hours per week.

Job Responsibility 
  • To review and monitor a caseload of named inpatients, e.g. patients on tube feeds, patients on tailored meal plans etc.
  • To act as a point of dietetic input and contact for patients, carers, staff, and community teams.
  • To liaise with the multi-disciplinary team and the catering team in order to devise nutrition treatment plans for the service users.
  • To participate in the development and facilitation of patient group sessions and training sessions for staff.
  • To work independently while being part of the specialist dietetic team and receive clinical guidance, support, and supervision.
Requirements 
  • Qualification in Dietetics, and registration with the HCPC and the BDA.
  • Post-qualification experience of working as a band 5/6 Dietitian in the UK.
  • As desirable, experience and/or understanding of the Eating Disorders treatment for children and young people
