We are delighted to be working with a private hospital based within Hertfordshire who are currently offering a Theatre Manager position within their hospital.

Job Description:
  • To provide strong clinical leadership to all theatre staff by demonstrating professionalism, advanced knowledge and clinical creditability.
  • To ensure all patients are treated with dignity, respect and equality.
  • To provide excellent communication skills enabling patients and their family/carers to understand their treatment and management within the department.
  • To provide advice, guidance and support to theatre staff regarding the care and management of patients.
  • To ensure theatre practice is consistent with national and local standards.
  • To ensure the safe and appropriate storage and administration of medicines to patients.
  • To act as a resource regarding infection prevention and control (IPC) best practice and support the role of the departmental IPC Link Practitioner.
  • To ensure all patient records and associated documentation is accurate, contemporaneous, complete and processed as per Healthcare requirements.
Requirements:
  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC
  • Healthcare or management/leadership degree or Masters degree or equivalent qualification/training and experience.
  • Post-registration qualification in a relevant subject
  • Current and consolidated experience as a senior theatre practitioner working in a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in managing a team of clinical staff
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Private Healthcare experience 
  • Experience of managing a theatre budget
