(KS30) Chief Pharmacist - USD Tax-Free

We are delighted to be working with one of the top private hospitals within South Asia (Islands) who currently have a 'Chief Pharmacist' position currently available.
This is a tertiary/acute International hospital which is located in the country's Idyllic locations within the Indian Ocean.

Job Specification
  • Conduct daily rounds to different units
  • Ensure proper stock availability of drugs and consumables 
  • Prepare and review the process of inventory indenting, receipt and forwarding in the Hospital Information System.
  • Plan and Execute the implementation of quality Standards as applicable to the Pharmacy Department in accordance with the provisions of the Pharmaceutical Laws.
  • Ensure safe storage and accurate dispensing of the medications for the treatments of outpatient, inpatient and in the emergency department.
  • Ensure all measures to prevent or minimise the incidence of Adverse Drug reactions with specific reference to high risk drugs, LASA drugs.
  • Ensure removal of short expiry drugs from the pharmacy and other patient care areas on a regular basis.
  • Liase with clinicians, nurses and other healthcare providers to ensure safe, effective and economical use of drugs for the patients.



General Requirements of the Job Role 

  • A Bachelors Degree or Masters in Pharmacy with minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Unencumbered license or registration from home country
  •  Proven ability to work in a multicultural environment
  •  Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  •  Advance knowledge in MS Office
