We are proud to be working with a top private hospital client based in Hertfordshire who is looking for an 'Inpatient Physiotherapist' - Orthopaedics

As an Inpatient Physiotherapist, your principal responsibilities will be:

• To provide and ensure high standards of clinical care for the patients under your management

• To provide skilled assessment and treatment of a variety of inpatients - predominantly orthopaedic, but also general surgery patients

• Deliver face to face assessment and treatment, carrying out appropriate clinical risk assessments and where necessary, onward referral.

• To liaise with orthopaedic consultants and nursing team and external agencies as appropriate to best meet the assessed needs of the patient.

• To educate, train and advise patients, carers and other relevant healthcare professionals in specific physiotherapeutic management.

• To work autonomously, utilising your skills to formulate safe and comprehensive rehabilitation plans, implementing protocol driven rehabilitation where necessary and ensure prompt and safe discharge of patients to their discharge location.

• To ensure a tidy and safe working environment, including cleaning, simple maintenance within the physiotherapy department and safe storage of equipment.
• You may be asked to carry out other duties as reasonably requested.

You may also be required to assist in the provision of face to face physiotherapy pre assessment or ‘Joint School’ for elective orthopaedic patients.
